Aura quartz is not a naturally occurring mineral. It is natural clear quartz (SiO₂) that has been permanently coated with metal vapors in a high-heat vacuum chamber. This process creates intense metallic rainbow colors on the surface of the quartz.

It’s essentially lab-enhanced iridescent quartz.

How Aura Quartz Is Made (The Actual Process) - Natural quartz crystals are cleaned and placed in a vacuum chamber. Metals are vaporized using extreme heat (~1600 °F / 870 °C), the metal ions bond to the quartz surface at a molecular level, forming a thin, iridescent coating. Results: durable, permanent surface colors that don’t wash off. The process is known as “vacuum deposition” or “vapor deposition.”

Different metals = different aura colors:

Angel Aura, Platinum + Silver = Soft pastel rainbow, pearly white
Aqua Aura, Gold = Bright electric blue
Titanium Aura / Rainbow Aura, Titanium + Niobium = Strong multi-color rainbow metallic sheen
Flame Aura, Titanium + Iron = Deep blue, purple, gold tones
Sunshine Aura, Gold + Iron = Yellow, gold, warm tones
Rose Aura, Platinum + Gold = Hot pink / magenta
